So, I was feeling really happy today. Then I talked with my ex (ugh)….and of course that just left me livid and upset, and then…I get stood up by my date! I GOT STOOD UP! I don’t get stood up. I stand people up. Maybe it’s karma then.
So I was upset about fighting with my ex and blah blah and I just wanted to cry and hold Jo-Jo (my childhood teddy) because its just what I do when I’m sad. So I went to get him…and I don’t know where he went. He is gone. I know its stupid because its just a stuffed animal but…its the stuffed animal who has heard all my deepest secrets and is soaked in 21 years of my tears. It was just the last straw. I started bawling and so my mom came to check on me and I started blabbering about how horrible it is to think of him out in the world all alone…then I thought maybe my ex threw him out. So then I imagined him rotting in a landfill and lost it. My mom woke up, got out of bed, listened to my pathetic sob story, and grabbed me and said she would help me look. When we couldn’t find him, you know what she did? She went into her closet and came out with my brothers old teddy (who I used to love and I was so jealous of my brother for having him) and asked if he would do until we find Jo-Jo.
I love her so much, bless her.
